Members of JJSociety invited to Lecture

Dr. Richard Londraville, Professor Emeritus of Irish Literature at the State University of New York, will speak on Wednesday, March 4 2009 from 10am to 12 noon at the Ringling Museum library:
Ulysses, from Homer to James Joyce.

Lecture at 10AM on Wednesday, March 4 will be held in the new Education Bldg on the south side of the Ringling complex. You can park across Bay Shore Road at the Asolo Theatre, go through the Visitors Pavilion of the Museum and get a tram.

You do not need to purchase a ticket to the museum. The Visitor facility is open at 9:30AM. Trams are running at that time or you can walk to the education building. We recommend you arrive at that time.

Or when you drive in to the Museum grounds, you can turn left and then take a quick right at the South Gate, which is next to the Art Museum This leads to a narrow roadway which will take you to parking on the grass near the Ca d’Zan and then walk back to the Education Center. If you go on www.ringling.org, you can find a locator map of the grounds.

The Ed. Bldg. has a white and red striped canopy and the northwest door (adjacent to the canopy) is the entrance to the Library and Classroom where the lecture

If you wish to join the group at the Banyon Cafe after the lecture, and you notify us by March 2 . we will arrange to have tables set aside for the group. The Banynon offers a cafeteria style lunch
